"The Future of the Past: the Jacob Wolf Historic Site"

Baxter County Historical Society monthly meeting will be Tuesday, June 27 at 6:00 pm at the Donald W Reynolds Library. Presenter is Marlon Mowdy, who is the Department of Arkansas Heritage’s new Historic Site Manager at the Jacob Wolf House Historic Site in Norfork. He began his new position on January 29th of this year. Marlon has over twenty years of experience working for the State of Arkansas. He has worked for Arkansas State Parks and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. He worked for approximately two years for the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Marlon has spent his career managing and interpreting natural, cultural, and historical sites throughout the state. His academic training stems from masters’ degrees in Public History and Heritage Studies from Arkansas State University. Marlon looks forward to helping develop, manage, and interpret the Jacob Wolf House Historic Site. He adds, “It is a most worthy heritage tourism destination to preserve, protect and promote.”
